Located on world-renowned Ka’anapali Beach, the storied Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows is an iconic generational favorite that will usher in the top names in the culinary world for a unique evening experience. On October 23, 2022 as part of the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival, the resort will host Stars, Beards & Diamonds featuring four acclaimed chefs who have a combined total of five James Beard Award wins, 12 Michelin Stars and both a AAA Four Diamond and Five Diamond recognition. Guests can experience a star-studded five-course dinner with dishes from the nation’s finest restaurants with wine pairings Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Hawaii. Tickets start at $350. For those looking to eat, drink and stay the night, the resort is offering special room rates for #HFWF22 attendees who can book here.
Beyond the special evening with the award-winning chefs, the resort has newly partnered with Kiawe Outdoor for a unique communal, alfresco dining experience set under its legendary 100-year-old rubber tree with 75-foot canopy. The twice weekly culinary journey supports farmers and purveyors in the surrounding area and features a fresh, locally sourced menu cooked over open fire. Guests can enjoy an immersive culinary experience with a celebratory sabering of champagne, appetizers and five-course prix-fixe dinner with wine and cocktail pairings.
As one of Hawaii’s original oceanfront escapes, Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows unfolds across 27 acres of sun-kissed, tropical gardens and offers an island-inspired ambiance in aregal, beachy and timeless setting. The property was one of Maui’s first resorts and now operates under new ownership and management with a charming, updated guest experience complete with everything from playful pink lounge chairs and fringed umbrellas to a photo-worthy drink cart.
Amenities include an open-air restaurant, two oceanfront swimming pools with cabanas, beach activities center, fitness center, spa, tennis courts and more. Reserve a luxurious private shaded cabana overlooking Ka’anapali’s famed golden shores or explore the scenic West Maui coastline with new stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment. For pau hana or an evening spent with laid-back cocktails and locally sourced farm-to-table cuisine, the Royal Ocean Terrace Restaurant & Lounge offers epic sunsets with full views of the Lanai and Molokai islands.
For accommodations, with rates starting at $359 per night, guests can choose from among the Lahaina Kai Tower which offers well-appointed rooms and suites overlooking the ocean, or private beachfront bungalows with lanais that descend to expansive lawns. The resort is set to unveil a complete renovation of the bungalows in 2023, with the transformation to include island-inspired retro chic furniture and décor, renovated showers and vanity areas, new lanai decks, patio furniture and more.
