MaryAnn Blanchard, the Director of Sales at Royal Lahaina Resort, is not just a sales powerhouse; she’s a fairy godmother for couples tying the knot. With over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Maryann has a knack for turning dream weddings into reality. Her attention to detail and passion for creating unforgettable moments have earned her a stellar reputation. When she’s not orchestrating the perfect wedding, you’ll find her exploring Maui’s hidden gems or whipping up delicious meals inspired by her travels. Maryann believes every love story is unique, and she’s dedicated to ensuring that each wedding she oversees is as special as the couples she works with.
Amy Johnston, the Director of Catering at Royal Lahaian Resort, brings over a decade of experience to this stunning property. Her deep affection for the resort and the island shines through in every event she coordinates. Amy’s expertise allows couples to relax, confident that all the details are meticulously handled. She adds a touch of magic to each wedding she orchestrates. With a talent for personalization and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences, Amy ensures that every couple’s special day is as unique as their love story. Jayson Asuncion is the Executive Chef of Royal Lahaina Resort. He is a native of Maui and is from Lahaina. He developed his passion for cooking as a child helping his father in the kitchen.
Asuncion trained at Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon and has over 20 years of experience on the West Coast and Maui. He had the opportunity to work at Citrus in Los Angeles, opening team of Spago Maui, Banyan Tree Ritz Carlton Kapalua, Molly’s Restaurant San Diego and Bonavista at Westin Bonaventure Hotel.
Jayson Asuncion is also the co-founder of the Aloha Braised food truck, which serves tasty local delicacies. Outside of the kitchen Asuncion enjoys surfing and playing his ukulele, where he gains profound inspiration.
He enjoys a great steak, foie gras and once ate 82 oysters at an oyster eating contest!
